JULY 9 🕰️ 2 PM 📍Centennial Square ➡️➡️ EAO Hello all, 🏁As many of you know, the PRGT pipeline was under review to see if it was ‘substantially started’ enough to continue to use its ancient 2014 permits and avoid a new environmental review. 🚧Unfortunately, on June 5th the Environmental Assessment Office declared PRGT was determined ‘substantially started’ and can continue construction. 📝It comes as no surprise that colonial governments continue to push oil and gas projects through Indigenous lands, but Gitxsan and Gintanyow land defenders are ready to resist. You can read @laxyipyouth and @gitanyowchiefs declarations on their websites (their instagrams are tagged in this post). 🤝We want to show that our communities have their backs. What better way to show our solidarity with the frontlines than showing off the glorious new tiny house we built for them? 👣🦼On Wednesday, July 9th join us at Centennial Square at 2 pm. We’ll march our tiny house straight to the EAO and announce its journey up to Gitxsan lands to be part of the physical blockade against the pipeline.🏡 We’ll see you there! ✊
