Virgo Rising, Vancouver Island’s own fab fem folk foursome, have been delighting audiences near and far since 1994 with their eclectic mix of traditional, original, and contemporary songs. Featuring Karen Gillmore on flutes, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and djembé, Sharon Hazelwood on tenor guitar and percussion, Sue Averill on guitar, electric bass, and Appalachian dulcimer, and Tracy Summers on uke bass, guitar, and djembé, Virgo Rising weave their magic with threads of joyous vocal harmony, instrumental pizzazz, and their own contagious enthusiasm!
