Born & raised in Victoria, BC, Josh Warren is a bassist, composer and arranger currently finishing his bachelor’s degree in music at Humber College. His quartet is a dynamic and eclectic project focused on exploring the tradition of improvised music through original compositions. Drawing on influences such as Stevie Wonder, Snarky Puppy, Chris Potter, and Canadian composers such as Kenny Wheeler, Ingrid Jensen, and Rich Brown, this group aims to push the tradition of improvised music in Canada forward.
