Join us for a memento mori buttonmaking workshop co-hosted by Maddy Roach of Fernwood Craft Club. We'll be in Little Gladstone Studio (up the ramp behind Little Fernwood). $5 suggested donation.
"Memento mori" is Latin for "remember (that you have) to die". Historically, many people have used memento mori art and jewelry to remind themselves to live mindfully in the face of mortality. We will have materials for making buttons in this spirit, and encourage attendees to bring any personal elements that they'd like to incorporate into their memento mori buttons.
(If you can't attend, but have art that you'd like made into a button, email events@libraryofdeath.org)
