This event is all about hybrid grapes—varieties specially bred to thrive in our climate and bring something a little different to the glass. These wines might not be what you’re used to, and that’s exactly the point. They’re fresh, expressive, and a sign of where BC wine is headed. Sarah Gottwald, our wine list curator, and Wade Moore from What's Good Brands will be pouring a hand picked selection from Ursa Major, Bella Wines, Whispering Horse, and Beaufort—four local producers leading the way with hybrid grapes. You’ll taste everything from crisp bubbles to juicy reds, all made with care and a bit of creative spirit. Whether you’re a wine geek or just curious, come sip something new and get to know the stories behind the bottles. No tickets, no pressure—just come by. We’re holding part of the room for walk-ins, and food and drinks will be available à la carte, so you can drop in for a glass or stay for the full tasting.
